September 11…

I might still be asleep tomorrow on Mountain Time on the anniversary of the day when the planes hit—so I want to get in my “will never forget” tonight.

So to all those who were loved and lost…we will never forget.

Lighting my candle tomorrow….

Peace to all

p.s. and happy birthday to our young friends born on this day nine years ago, who also need to be remembered...

Study break...

Arthritis and age make it necessary to get up every so often—every 60 to 90 minutes—to  stretch, walk around and get the blood flowing again.

I’d do the same working in an office—check the water cooler, grab a cuppa joe, hit the loo or chat with a co-worker.

At home, I sometimes fix a snack.

Been enjoying the totally awesome peaches from the farmer’s market and I think they’re just too perfect not to share...

Fresh peaches with greek yogurt--Yum!
Of course the peaches don't come cheap!
Too bad the season’s nearly over.

Okay.

Now that I've totally wasted your time and mine, it’s back to the books…

Why…

I haven’t been posting.

What was I thinking!

Bonkers—the Legal Dude calls me—for taking 12 credit hours this semester.

I’ve been told students are expected to spend 3 hours of study for every one credit hour.

That’s 36 hours—or 48 when you add in the 12 hours of lectures—each week!

Now I know why, each year through elementary and middle school, formulas are calculated for how much time kids should be spending on homework.

They’re preparing them for college!

This could be a good learning tool for the teenager.

Somehow, though, I don’t think it will.

Only in Wyoming

I met up this evening with some friends at the Front Street Tavern located on First Street, at the very edge of downtown and directly across the street from the railroad tracks.

There was a commotion outside.

A huge hay wagon, full of folk, stopped outside the tavern.

Then we heard bang—bang—bang, multiple times.

I stepped outside, but it was over.

I was ready the next time they came around, only I didn’t have my camera.

So my friend J let me use her phone to take a shot and then e-mailed me the photo of the reenactment.

Wish I had gotten photos of the guys lying “dead” in the street.

Only in Wyoming—

So much catching up to do…

So many photos to post—yet so little time

Laptop went Kaput when we got home at the end of July from all our little travels.

It took many days and a lot of headaches to get it fixed—thanks to my wonderful Legal Dude.

Photo software experienced death-by-computer in the process, so trying to post photos has been a big drag.

Then school started, and...

I’m hoping to get back into the swing of blog-o things, sometime soon.

So much I want to document.
